Leadership lessons from our own unique energy
For years now I have been teaching and speaking about leadership through the lens of our own 7 energy centres. This is ancient wisdom combined with my own personal experience to create a map for leading in these changing times.
Belonging/community - we all yearn to belong to a healthy and thriving community - be that family or friends, colleagues or groups. To find this sense of belonging we have to clear ourselves of our own stories and illusions.
Creativity - we all create our own reality. Whether victim, perpetrator or fixer, we are the creators of our existence. To experience this, we have to take full responsibility for our own lives, no matter what.
Power - the power is within us. Wherever we seek power outside of ourselves, we are diminished in our own humanity. To know this power, we have to become silent and listen to our own inner wisdom.
Compassion - the secret to life, lies in the connection to our heart. Through the practice of compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, kindness and presence. We can transcend all treachery and illusion. To feel our heart, we must connect to our bodies and disengage from the constant chatter of the mind.
Truth - To speak the truth of our heart is the ultimate act of vulnerability and power. To show our weakness is our greatest strength. Because then, nothing can shake us. To experience this, we have to trust.
Wisdom - to balance the brain and see things from all angles is the key to great knowledge. Too many of us are caught in our own one sided and biased beliefs and this only gives us 1/2 of our capacity. To know this, we have to become mindful and observe our thoughts with the skill of a warrior, continually question and let go of the things that no longer serve us.
Interconnectedness - we are all one and we are seeing this so poetically at the moment. When we understand that your pain is my pain and your joy is my joy, we can start to create a system that supports ALL of us. In this pursuit, we leave a legacy for the good of all future generations.
This ancient wisdom is more relevant and more needed than ever. Blessings to you all.
